Wayside Walks

Explore Kings Cross on a tour with a difference

Ever wondered what it's like to be homeless?

The Wayside Chapel is hosting an evening tour that goes into the nooks and crannies of Kings Cross to help people to understand what it's like to live on the streets of Sydney.

The tour is unlike any you‘ll ever find in a guide book. Your host is a Wayside employee and former rough sleeper who draws on their own experiences of homelessness and addiction to provide people with a rare insight into street life. The tour goes around Kings Cross, Eliizabeth Bay and Darlinghurst with your guide pointing out spots of significance along the way.

Our tours are aimed at adults, but we also offer a teenage tour that covers the same content as our adult tour, but with some of the descriptions and details toned down to suit a younger audience. The dates for our adult and teen tours are below. Please note anyone under 18 still needs to be accompanied by an adult on the teen tour.
