Wayside Building Tours

Take a tour of The Wayside Chapel

Are you keen to learn more about Wayside?

We’re launching monthly building tours of Wayside where you can get a real insight into our program areas and learn more about our mission and vision.

Each tour will cover the history of Wayside, an overview and visit to each of our program areas, plus personal anecdotes and insight into life in the Cross.

At the end of the tour, participants will meet in the Wayside Café for tea and scones while soaking up the vibrant Wayside atmosphere.

The tour host is Wayside employee and former rough sleeper, Rob Holt, who draws on his own experiences of homelessness and addiction to provide people with a rare insight into street life, and the work Wayside is doing to help people flourish.

Building tours are $15 per person and groups have to be minimum 10 people..

Rob's Story
It’s only been five years since Rob first approached Wayside seeking help for his alcohol addiction but in that time he’s been able to turn his life around. Rob has been volunteering at Wayside since 2011, and now as a staff member he wants to use his experience on the streets to help people be more compassionate towards those doing it tough.
