At Wayside we:
- Provide supportive services to needy and marginalised people
- Promote self sufficient, healthy drug-free living
- Encourage people to believe in themselves and others
- Speak out on issues, sparking community awareness of social injustice
- Maintain a spiritual centre for all who come
- Offer meaningful rites of passage to mark the human journey
The Wayside Chapel, over its history, has been behind some of Australia's most far reaching and innovative developments in social welfare.
Wayside pioneered Australia's first 24 hour crisis centre and the first Drug Referral Centre, co-founded the Aboriginal Affairs Foundation and also started Life Education Australia and Shepherds of the Streets. |
